Preserves Tiny Bearings

R+W America (Bensenville, IL) introduces the MICROFLEX; a new flexible miniature coupling that is only 5.5mm in diameter by 9mm in length. The coupling is composed of a flexible beam-cut polyamide element clamped to shafting with stainless steel hubs and set screws. Additional features include:

  • Standard balanced for up to 10,000 RPM. 
  • Low lateral spring stiffness allows the coupling to absorb restoring forces on shaft bearings.
  • Torsional stiffness of 23 Ncm/rad.  
  • Torque capacity of 1.4 oz/in.
  • Peak torque capacity of 2.8 oz/in. 
  • Standard bore diameter is 1.5mm.
