Colorized To Be Cool

When it comes to electronic gadgets these days, style holds as much appeal as substance. That's why Cybiko Inc. decided to incorporate trend-setting colors into its new wireless PDA, the Xtreme.

Color specialist RTP Co. supplied Cybiko with its 300 Series polycarbonate, pre-colored in metallic and chroma-shift colors, for the Xtreme's molded enclosures. Thanks to a precise combination of pigments and dyes that display a geometric metamerism, chroma-shift parts change color, displaying what is commonly referred to as color travel or the chameleon effect.

The polycarbonate features high heat, light, and dimensional stability. It has a notched impact strength of 15 ft/lbs/in. at 1/8 in.

More information on 300 Series polycarbonate is available by contacting RTP Co., 580 E. Front St., Winona, MN 55987 or calling (800) 433-4787.
