Ceramic Crucibles For High-temperature Processing

Super-Heat 676 Series magnesium oxide ceramic crucibles are available for use in ultra high-temperature processing of metals, slags, and superconductor compounds up to 4,000°F. The ceramic used is full-fired and 99 percent pure.

The crucibles are high-density, fine-grain microstructures with open porosity of less than 1 percent and an average density of 3.45 gms/cc. They can be used as an alternative to alumina units because of their chemical resistance.

Typical applications include metal alloy, superconductor, piezoelectric materials, and beta-alumina processing.
