The new high-purity, lug style Type 365 butterfly valve features a Teflon PFA (perfluoroalkoxy resin) encapsulated alloy steel disc with a Teflon PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) liner. It is suitable for ultra-pure water or aggressive corrosive service in semiconductor and chemical processing applications.
Manufactured with a number of features to afford users optimum functionality, the valve incorporates a one-piece disc-stem design that provides a leak-free mechanical stem seal. Its PFA encapsulated disc and 100 mils-thick virgin PTFE liner reduces the breakaway stress experienced during valve opening and closing and provides maximum protection against permeation and de-lamination.
Available in 2- through 20-in. sizes with either lever or gear operators, the Type 365 can be pneumatically or electrically actuated. The high-strength valve is rated for pressures up to 150 psi and temperatures up to 400°F.
Other features include self-lubricating bearings in the upper and lower stems, a steel spring, ANSI 150 both patterns, a stainless steel (AISI 304) pusher, a Viton O-Ring, and asilicone elastomer back-up. The two-piece body is manufactured from Ductile iron and coated with polyester ASTM A-395.
