LEDs offer dramatic color, high efficiency, high reliability, long life and eco-friendly technology. LED applications are used for display backlighting, projectors, architectural and vehicle lighting, illumination, traffic signals and signage.

The latest issue of Newark’s Technology First journal tackles solid-state lighting technologies in detail, with technical articles contributed by such top suppliers as Cree, Avago, Tyco Electronics, STMicroelectronics, Cypress Semiconductor, NXP Semiconductors and Freescale. Technology First is mailed exclusively to Newark’s design engineer customers, but an online version is available at www.newark.com/lighting.

Newark’s easy to-navigate microsite is arranged by product categories: power LEDs, mounted power LEDs, microcontrollers, LED drivers, power management and accessories. An interactive lighting catalog, featuring thousands of these products, is also featured.

“Our lighting microsite takes a deep dive into the newest technologies,” comments Paul Buckley, Senior VP, Sales and Supplier Management, Newark. “It provides a wide range of complete solutions and value-added information to give design engineers more choices and greater understanding.”
