ARclad 8314, 8901, and 7992 are pressure sensitive adhesive tapes engineered for lens and escutcheon bonding in mobile phone handsets including the new 2.5 G and upcoming 3 G mobile phone handsets. The adhesive used in these devices is a critical component to keep the lens from popping out and to keep dust and other contaminants from getting inside the lens.

ARclad 8314 and 8901 are 8-mil, double-sided, high-tack acrylic bonding tapes. They promise excellent bond strength to both high- and low-surface energy materials typically used in handset assembly. ARclad 8314 is supported by a clear polyester carrier film, and ARclad 8901 is supported by a black polyester carrier film, making it a suitable tape for dark nameplate and cellular display applications.
ARclad 7992 is a 5-mil, double-sided acrylic adhesive supported by a polyester film. It is made using the same adhesive as ARclad 8314 and is suggested for handset assembly applications requiring thinner bond lines.
All three tapes are conformable to curved surfaces and are weather resistant to natural elements and moisture resistant to humidity and other damp conditions.
