Backlash-free Reversal

The Amacoil/Uhing (Aston, PA) model RG linear drive features mechanical control over travel direction and linear speed eliminating the need for an electronic control system. Reversal of travel direction is automatic regardless of the speed or rotational direction of the shaft. Length of travel is increased or decreased using manually set end stops and it features:

The Amacoil/Uhing (Aston, PA) model RG linear drive features mechanical control over travel direction and linear speed eliminating the need for an electronic control system. Reversal of travel direction is automatic regardless of the speed or rotational direction of the shaft. Length of travel is increased or decreased using manually set end stops and it features:

  • Seventeen sizes that meet axial thrust requirements from 7 to 800 pounds.
  • Eliminated backlash with specially machined “rolling ring” bearings.
  • Constant point-contact with the shaft.
  • No play or free movement between shaft and bearings during reversal.
