The AEC Q200 qualified varistors are designed to automobile industry standards.

AVX Corporation (Greensville, SC) has expanded its TransGuard Series to include automotive specific varistors tested to Load Dump and Jump Start requirements. Designated the VCAS Series, the AEC Q200 qualified varistors are designed to automobile industry standards and feature:

Bi-directional protection.
Voltage ratings ranging from 16 – 85 VDC.
Case sizes ranging from 0402 to 1210.
