Anti-tamper Lock For Valves And Actuators (8295)

A new anti-tamper lock limits the operation of valves and actuators to authorized individuals, thus reducing the risk of human error or deliberate tampering.

The lock base adapter is machined — either on site or to a specification — to suit the host equipment, replacing existing handwheels or levers to cut costs and maintain the integrity of the pressure envelope. Because the lock is installed and commissioned only once, permit-to-work and lockout, tag-out authorities are free of concerns about whether the lock is correctly installed.

The lock's housing is stainless steel and coated with yellow polyester resin. For safety applications, the internal components are manufactured from 304 stainless steel with acetyl bearings. For security applications, these components are made from hardened steel with a protective skirt.
