Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) (Norwood, MA) has introduced a series of single-channel digital potentiometers that provide a variety of resolution, interface and resistance options, allowing system designers to select the most suitable device for a wide range of consumer and instrumentation applications. The AD511x features:

  • Single channel, 128-/64-/32-tap digital potentiometers.
  • 5, 10, and 80k ohm nominal resistance options.
  • I2C, up/down and push-button interfaces.
  • Maximum ±8% nominal resistance tolerance.
  • 5 ppm/°C temperature coefficient (potentiometer mode).
  • Low power: Idd = 750nA typical.
  • –40° to +125°C operating temperature range.
