Active Sensor Actuator Interfaces (12711)

Designed for industrial environments, a new line of Active Sensor Actuator Interfaces (SAIs) offers wiring flexibility to achieve modular and decentralized process control in automation applications. These new active SAIs feature robust, environmentally rated IP67 housings and support all industry leading network protocols including: Profibus, DeviceNet, CANopen, Ethernet, Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, and Modbus/TCP. The new SAIs use the same plug-in ports for sensors and actuators. This capability allows engineers to define the inputs and outputs without time-consuming configurations. All of the M12 connections and the SAI bus connection are available in a robust metal design. The compact, plastic housings are made of Pocan, which is rated to flammability class UL94V-0. The new SAIs are available with industry standard M8 and M12 socket connections. Engineers can choose 24 VDC with 8 x M12 inputs, 24 VDC with 8 x M8 inputs, 24 VDC with 8 x 0.5 A M12 outputs, 24 VDC with 8 x 0.5 A M8 outputs, 24 VDC with 8 x M8 configurable I/Os, and 24 VDC with 8 x M12 configurable I/Os. Features include plug-and-play connections for the sensors and actuators as well as LEDs at each port, bus, and supply connection. Each port is equipped with a large marking tag for clear identification.
