A Thinner Lcd

The DV-SLIM from Apollo Display Technologies is a new digital visual interface translator board that can provide an ultra-slim solution for connecting thin-film transistor LCDs to standard video interfaces. The company says the DV-SLIM automatically converts digital visual interface signals into thin-film transistor or low-voltage differential signals for thin-film transistor LCDs. This RoHS-compliant translator board features:

• The ability to be user-configured for LCDs from 5 to 46 in. diagonal with 6- and 8-bit color depth and single-channel low-voltage differential signal support.

• A universal design for LCDs from all major OEMs.

• Function select switches on the board to choose the most standard backlight inverter/LCD module combinations from video graphics array to wide-extended graphics array resolutions.

• An ultra-low profile of only 5.5 mm (0.217 in.) high.

• An operating temperature from 0°C to 70°C.

• Approximate board outline dimensions of 3.1 by 3.9 by 0.3 in.
