A Smarter Portfolio

Freescale Semiconductor recently unveiled 6 standard SMARTMOS analog products designed for high-current powertrain and engine management applications. Thus far, the company’s portfolio encompasses output drivers, signal monitoring and conditioning devices, and H bridges. Some features of the analog line also include:
  • A combination of high-density, high-speed logic with precision analog and high-voltage, high-current power circuitry.
  • The ability to be mixed and matched with Freescale’s complementary MPC 55xx 32-bit microcontrollers in order to support a variety of multi-cylinder tasks.
  • Use of a serial peripheral interface communications protocol to seamlessly integrate with Freescale’s microcontroller families.
  • Inductive load switching, and immunity to interference and noise.
  • The reduction of power consumption, board space and system cost, according to the company.
  • 105-volt capability and tailoring for harsh environments.
