49. Fiberglass Enclosures

DiamondShield is a family of high-quality, cost-effective fiberglass enclosures based on a new SMC process. The SMC compounding system features fully automated, computer controlled mixing as well as a 5,500 lb batch capacity, mass flow metering of paste, and pigment and thickener. Other features include continuous compounding with 10-60 percent glass or carbon fiber reinforcement and a 24-in. SMC line with chain compaction and adjustable variable frequency drives. The SMC process brings consistency and reliability to production. The enclosures are design to meet or exceed all applicable EPA MACT standards for styrene emissions. Load cells are included for accurate in-feed quantities of all raw materials, including a 50-ton ATH silo. An A-B-C stream allows for dynamic mixing of paste, thickener, and pigment.
