35. Wastewater Flow Monitor

The FlowShark is an advanced family of flow monitors designed to monitor the physical properties of moving wastewater. The FlowShark uses a digital signal processing algorithms. These algorithms improve the monitor’s ability to overcome the biggest obstacle in using acoustic sensors in sewers — the presence of noise. Using noise filtering techniques and the “Monitor Level Intelligence” learning engine, measurements logged by the FlowShark are dependable, noise-free data. This is important in the wastewater industry as noise produces inconclusive data that has no place in management decision making regarding important areas such as sewage overflow abatement programs and billing applications.
