32. Shaft Grounding Ring

The NEMA Model AEGIS SGR Conductive MicroFiber Shaft Grounding Ring is designed for use on any NEMA or IEC motor frame. The NEMA Model AEGIS SGR comes with an adaptor (mounting plate to support the SGR and standoffs to provide clearance) to facilitate the installation of the SGR on AC motors with shaft shoulders, slingers, bearing caps, or end-bell protrusions. The unit’s mounting adaptor simplifies installation of the AEGIS SGR for electrical, mechanical, and maintenance contractors. It will also streamline installation of the SGR on new motors by original-equipment manufacturers. The entire assembly covers less than 1/2 in. of the motor shaft. Slots in the plate accommodate different motor designs and configurations, and the kit can be ordered with standoff posts from 0.125 to 1.5 in. in length.
