31. Handheld 3d Scanner

The ZScanner 700 is a handheld, self-positioning 3D scanner that can digitize 3D surfaces in real-time. The scanner is a self-positioning 3D laser unit. The lightweight, device is ready to use in minutes and free of traditional mechanical arms, making it suitable for scanning hard-to-reach places. It offers real-time surfacing, captures 3D data in one continuous process to reduce post-processing, and allows objects to be moved during scanning. As a result, the 3D scanner allows the user to move the target object during scanning and its real-time on-screen imaging shows the surface being scanned. Its handheld portability and self-positioning capability makes 3D scanning simple and efficient versus other system’s fixed-position tripods, bulky mechanical arms, or external positioning devices. The ZScanner 700 is suitable for scanning complex surfaces and hard-to-reach areas such as car interiors.
