27. Web-enabled Controller

The Blue Fusion Web-enabled automation controller, Model 5300 is a third generation design. All connections to the 5300 are via the front surface, minimizing access requirements. It uses high-density pluggable connectors, eliminating the need for external terminal blocks and breakout boards. I/O density is improved by miniaturizing and optimizing the electronic PC boards and their packaging. These features mean that a fully wired and mounted 5300 automation controller requires less machine or panel space. The multi-bus, multi-tasking architecture seamlessly supports multiple CPU and I/O module processors. In this architecture as resources are, such as an analog PID loop board or a servo motion board, additional computing power is automatically added as well. This insures an optimally performing system even as the I/O or axis count grows thereby simplifying the application of the controller.
