16. Mathematical Modeling Software

BlockBuilder for Simulink features a “First Principles” physical modeling environment for Simulink. Engineers can mathematically develop models of dynamic systems, particularly for plant control applications, and then implement them in Simulink as a subsystem block. BlockBuilder helps engineers to develop ideas from initial concepts to high-fidelity physical models, and automatically generate Simulink S-function blocks to enhance and extend their Simulink models. Many engineers had asked Maplesoft for the ability to enhance and extend their Simulink models with Maple, the world’s most powerful mathematical modeling system. BlockBuilder for Simulink answers the need for rapid physical modeling, a key part of the design of dynamic systems, particularly for control applications. It enables users to mathematically develop models and then implement them directly in Simulink as a subsystem block.
