New 24V/12V DC-DC Power Converter tolerates ISO7637-20 and SAE J1455 voltage transients in mobile applications

Tech9 (Mounds View, MN) has introduced a new 1 A DC-DC power converter that tolerates ISO7637-2 voltage transients (especially the load dump condition) as well as the similar SAE J1455 voltage transients. The Model PC24-12-1 power converter features:

  • +2 percent output voltage tolerance.
  • Line and load rejection characteristics (60 DB typical).
  • A typical efficiency of 90 percent.
  • Short circuit protection.
  • Operability in ambient temperatures up to 85°C.
  • Additional power converters with voltage outputs down to 3.3 VDC are available.
