  • Lots of cars that weigh 3000 pounds and with a 4 passenger load of another 700 pounds will get over 40 mpg. Why so hard to believe that a 200 pound bike with a 200 pound rider is able to get 160 mpg? The concern overall should be the air pollution created by the bike i a country that already has severe problems with the pollution created by its coal fired power plants and small autos. If there are 4 motorcycles sold that replace bicycles or people who would have been using trains or buses or bicycles than that added load on the airshed should be noted.

  • Honda announced the CB Twister in India back in Jan 2010. The CB twister sells for 42,000 Rupees ($900), gets 70 km/l (165 mpg), 109cc 4 stroke rated 9 HP @ 9,000rpm. Suzuki is playing catch up in the Indian market.

  • I find that number very hard to believe. 70 km for each litre equates to 159 miles per gallon. Maybe if you are driving down a mountain you might get that mileage. I could believe about 100 MPG not 160 MPG. I ride a single cylinder Suzuki 350 and get about 65 MPG if I take it easy. Mileage figures do not scale linearly by engine displacement.
