Peguform Standardizes on Siemens PLM software’s Teamcenter as its Global PLM Platform

Plano, TX- Siemens PLM Software has announced that Peguform has standardized on Teamcenter software, the world’s most widely used digital lifecycle management solution, to manage all product data, documents and PLM processes.

Teamcenter will gradually be deployed at all global locations.

Peguform, which manufactures plastic components, systems and complete elements for the automotive industry at 16 plants, selected Teamcenter in an effort to standardize all its PLM processes. Peguform is replacing its partially self-developed, complex mix of system environments.

Prior to making this decision Peguform conducted an extensive six-month evaluation of various solutions, in which each provider had to show the ability to support a range of requirements for a fictional project.

“The extensive evaluation was particularly helpful in making our decision as we had around 30 employees from all areas of the business acting as a kind of jury, after all, every part of the company is affected by the decision,” says André Scheidhammer, Director/Head of Process Management at Peguform.

“Teamcenter was the clear winner, coming out on top in almost every test area. The strong results combined with its proven performance in the marketplace made Teamcenter the best solution for Peguform and the perfect choice.”

Peguform initially began working with Tecnomatix software, Siemens PLM Software’s industry-leading suite of digital manufacturing solutions, in 2005 to plan new manufacturing sites and production lines as well as streamline its manufacturing processes.

The addition of Teamcenter gives the company a global end-to-end PLM platform. All relevant areas, from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), construction, production planning to office applications, will be integrated in a step-by-step phased model. Peguform plans to immediately switch CAD data and document management to Teamcenter, followed by other areas.

“This decision is further proof that Teamcenter gives the automotive industry a reliable tool for PLM tasks,” says Urban August, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Germany, Siemens PLM Software.

“Siemens PLM Software is focused on supporting manufacturers and their suppliers to streamline their processes, and bring better products to market faster through the use of end-to-end PLM technology.”
