Panasonic Communications Co. has selected Teridian Semiconductor's modem analog front end device, the 73M1903, for their new family of multi-function printers and facsimiles. The 73M1903 reduces external component count and delivers robust performance, key factors in Panasonic's selection. Teridian's 35-year track record of successful modem DAA product deployments also played an important role.

IrvineI, CA - Teridian Semiconductor has announced that Panasonic Communications Co., LTD (NYSE: PC) has selected the 73M1903, a modem analog front end (AFE) device, for their 2009/2010 family of multi-function printers and facsimile products.

The 73M1903 is designed for embedded soft modem and voice applications including multi-function printers (MFP), facsimile terminals, satellite set-top-boxes, POS terminals, and IP phones.

A single chip solution, the 73M1903 offers many features designed to reduce the external component count while delivering robust performance with a low cost transformer DAA.

In addition, the 73M1903 is optimized for the region of operation without the need for additional component costs, a unique differentiation for Teridian's solution as compared to other silicon DAA solutions.
