Mouser Adds Freescale Acceleration Sensor

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the Freescale Semiconductor MMA8450Q 3-axis Digital Accelerometer.

The accelerometer is a motion sensing device that includes 12-bit data with FIFO. This allows it to accomplish complex gesture recognition and positive detection that are required for next-generation mobile applications.

Freescale MMA8450Q 12-bit, 3-axis low g I²C digital capacitive acceleration sensor with extremely low power provides increased embedded intelligence such as orientation, tap, double tap, jolt, freefall, and shake detection.

The Freescale Semiconductor MMA8450Q 3-axis accelerometer allows for developing more robust applications such as position detection, 3D gesture detection, pedometry, and many other next generation motion detection functions
