
Fremont, CA– 3Dconnexion announces plans to support the upcoming WorldSkills Calgary 2009 global event, the leading vocational training competition for young trades people, equipping all of the CAD workstations with its new SpacePilot PRO 3D mouse.
Competitors participating in the prestigious CAD program will be using the SpacePilot PRO 3D mouse with Autodesk Inventor, giving them added control and navigation over their 3D designs.
“The WorldSkills competition brings the best and the brightest CAD students together to compete on a global level, helping to achieve higher standards and push the possibilities of design,” says Dieter Neujahr, president of 3Dconnexion.

The WorldSkills Competition hosts more than 900 skilled young people, ages 17 to 22, from skills, trades and technology programs in 51 countries and regions.
Representing the best of their peers drawn from regional and national skill competitions, these aspiring individuals come together to compete for gold, silver and bronze medals in 45 skill categories ranging from bricklaying to Web design.
Following the competition, the SpacePilot PRO 3D mice will be implemented into the Province of Alberta Equipment Legacy Program, where they will be used by secondary and post-secondary students throughout the province.
