Kontron ITAR Registration & Compliance With U. S. Dept. Of State

ITAR registration builds upon Kontron’s 20-year history of supplying embedded computing solutions for military markets worldwide.

Poway, CA– Kontron has announced that the company’s United States operation has registered and is in compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) administered by the United States Department of State Directorate of Defense Trade Controls who controls the export and import of defense articles and services. ITAR registration and compliance is a key strategic achievement for Kontron and builds upon the company’s existing and expanding embedded computing platform support for a growing list of military market customers by complying with the Arms Export Control Act (AECA).

As an ITAR registered company, it has met the corporate procedures and control requirements for compliance to fully participate as an approved supplier for a wide variety of military, aerospace and homeland security applications and programs in the United States.

“Kontron has a long and proven history of serving the international military and aerospace markets by supplying standards-based, custom and modular embedded computing platforms that help OEMs reduce development costs and meet program deadlines," says Mike Kadri, vice president of North America sales at Kontron.
