Manchester, UK – Icona Solutions announces the appointment of Robert (Bob) Allsopp, FIMechE, as non-executive chairman of the company. The appointment is effective immediately.
Currently serving as managing director, Ricardo Midlands Technical Centre, part of Ricardo plc, the global automotive consultants specialising in engine, transmission and vehicle engineering as well as strategic consulting, Allsopp has spent the majority of his working life in or associated with the automotive industry.
A Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers and a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, he has in the past held senior engineering and corporate management positions at Federal Mogul Corporation, United Engineering Forgings, GKN’s Automotive Driveline Division and what is now Jaguar Land Rover.
