
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) — TASER International Inc., an electric-shock weapons company, said Tuesday it received an initial order from the Army to provide 2,500 tasers and related accessories.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The contract was placed by Aardvark Tactical, Taser International's main federal distributor. The tasers will be shipped during the fourth quarter.
Shares of Taser fell 15 cents, or 3.4 percent, to $4.26 in afternoon trading.
