Sherritt buys Teachers' stake in coal project to consolidate its ownership

Sherritt International Corp. (TSX:S) said Wednesday it has bought the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board's 50 per cent stake in its Coal Valley Partnership for $45 million to consolidate control of project. The partnership owns the Coal Valley and Obed Mountain mines.
