Polycom hires Electronic Arts CFO Eric Brown

Videoconferencing equipment Polycom Inc. said Wednesday it hired Electronic Arts Inc. Chief Operating Officer Eric Brown to be its CFO and chief operating officer.

Brown, 46, will join Polycom Feb. 21, and he will replace CFO Mike Kourey.

Polycom said Kourey is retiring to pursue opportunities including serving on other corporate boards and charitable activities. He will stay with the Pleasanton, Calif., company through March 7 and will advise Polycom through May 7.

Electronic Arts said Brown's last day with the company will be Feb. 17. The Redwood City, Calif., videogame publisher said Chief Accounting Officer Kenneth Barker will become its interim CFO.
