MedLink to Offer MedLink EHR as a Software as a Service (SaaS)

MedLink International, Inc. (OTCBB: MLKNA) (OTCBB: MLKNAE) announced today that it will be providing the option of its MedLink TotalOffice EHR as a Software as a Service (SaaS) starting next month. The SaaS model will further assist providers to qualify for "meaningful use" by offering an affordable EHR framework to meet federal and state incentives for EHR adoption by reducing upfront hardware costs.

Ray Vuono, Chief Executive Officer of MedLink, stated, "We've seen a tremendous increase in interest in the MedLink EHR through some of the state and federal initiatives MedLink is involved in, that provide subsidies for the implementation and software costs associated with the purchase of an EHR. The SaaS model allows for practices to reduce the upfront investment in hardware and scale that investment into additional training and other services which ultimately will provide for a quicker ROI for the practice."

SaaS, also known as software "on demand," is a model in which software is developed, hosted and operated for use by customers over the Internet. The offering will help customers quickly and cost-effectively maximize the value of their EHR implementations by reducing the long term upfront investments in IT infrastructure.
