General Dynamics wins work on DOD contract

Defense contractor General Dynamics said Friday it won a contract to provide IT services for a military information systems project.

The company said that the contract has a total value of $476 million for all nine awardees that will be working on the project. The company did not say exactly what share of that revenue it will receive.

General Dynamics said it will provide the services as part of the U.S. Department of Defense's Omnibus Network Enterprise program. The company said it will provide IT services and support to a variety of U.S. government customers under orders issued as part of the contract.

Shares of General Dynamics rose 77 cents, or 1 percent, to close at $70.51.
