American Eagle Airlines starts new Miami routes

American Eagle Airlines, a regional carrier for AMR Corp.'s American Airlines, said Thursday it started several new routes to and from Miami.

The carrier began service between Miami and two new locations: Charleston (S.C.) International Airport and McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, Tenn.

From Miami, it started service to Knoxville, Tenn., and two spots in the Bahamas. New service to Governor's Harbour, Bahamas, begins Friday.

Some of these routes were delayed Thursday after an FAA computer glitch caused widespread cancellations and delays nationwide.
