Amedisys donates $1M to LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Home nursing provider Amedisys Inc. is donating $1 million toward construction of a new business education complex at LSU.

The Baton Rouge-based company and the university announced the donation at a Wednesday news conference. The money will help pay for the new location for LSU's E.J. Ourso College of Business.

The business school building is estimated to cost $60 million — $30 million in private donations and $30 million in state matching funds. Groundbreaking is expected next year.
