Acumentrics Announces Multiple MIL-STD Certifications

Acumentrics RUPS has confirmed that its 1000W and 2000W series Rugged Uninterruptible Power Supplies (RUPS) have achieved MIL-STD-810G (environmental), MIL-STD-461F (electro-magnetic inference), and MIL-STD-1275D (steady state and transient voltages) certifications.  The MIL-STD testing was completed by an independent test laboratory with international accreditations to ISO/IEC 17025 in a wide variety of industries.

These certifications were officially announced at West 2012, January 24-26, in San Diego.  Co-sponsored by AFCEA International and the U.S. Naval Institute, West 2012 is the largest event on the West Coast for communications, electronics, intelligence, information systems, imaging, military weapon systems, aviation, shipbuilding, and more.

"The MIL-STD certifications demonstrate the ruggedness and reliability of our uninterruptible power supplies, particularly in combat environments," said Adam Briggs, CEO of Acumentrics.  "These credentials confirm Acumentrics’ commitment to producing power solutions that meet the most exacting standards for use in severe applications ranging from off-shore oil rigs to frontline combat.”

"Unlike many suppliers in the UPS industry that offer products that are ‘designed to meet’ military standards, Acumentrics provides authentication to our customers and partners,” commented Steven Graves, VP Sales and Marketing.  “These endorsements ensure our products will operate under the most extreme environmental conditions and will not interfere with sensitive electronic equipment. Additionally, when sourcing power from a vehicle’s 28VDC system, our equipment supplies rock-solid power through vehicle start-up."
