Detachable jaw makes control panel access and visibility easy.

Fluke Corporation (Everett, WA) has introduced the latest member of its innovative family of clamp meters: the Fluke 365 Detachable Jaw True-rms AC/DC Clamp Meter.

The new Fluke 365 Clamp Meter is designed to make the technician’s job easier. It has a thin, small jaw design that makes it easy to get around tightly packed wires. And the current clamp jaw is detachable, making it more convenient than ever to access wires in difficult spaces, while holding the clamp meter body where readings are easy to see.

The detachable clamp capability is especially valuable for technicians working in the tight confines of electrical control panels. In normal situations the jaw remains attached to the meter body, but, when required, it can be removed and clamped to the wire under test. The meter body remains attached to the jaw through a flexible three-foot lead.

The Fluke 365’s compact jaw measures current up to 200 A ac and dc while allowing easy access to wires in PLCs and other tight spaces. The Fluke 365 measures up to 600 V ac and dc and provides 6000-Ohm resistance measurement and continuity detection. State-of-the-art signal processing allows for use in noisy electrical environments, while providing stable readings.

The large, back-lighted display automatically shows the correct measurement range, so the user doesn’t need to change switch positions while taking a measurement. A built-in flashlight helps illuminate the work location and identify wires.

The compact Fluke 365 fits in the hand and is designed to be easily used by technicians wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).  The meter is safety rated for use in IEC/EN 61010-1:2001, CAT III 600 V environments.

The Fluke 365 Detachable Jaw Clamp Meter has a three-year warranty and comes with a soft carrying case. US list price is $248.95.

A New Family of Test Tools

The Fluke 365 is the latest in the new Fluke family of clamp meters. The new tools include:

Fluke 381 Remote Display True-rms AC/DC Clamp Meter with iFlex—The Fluke 381 is a full-featured clamp meter with an important extra: Users can remove the detachable wireless display for even more flexibility, convenience and safety. Now one technician can do jobs that used to require two. US list price is $498.95.

Fluke 376 True-rms AC/DC Clamp Meter with iFlex—With the new Fluke 376 Clamp Meter, users will be ready for any measurement challenge. Designed for the toughest industrial environments, it measures current up to 2500 A ac and 1000 A dc and can troubleshoot even the noisiest motors and drives. US list price is $374.95.

Fluke 374 and 375 True-rms AC/DC Clamp Meters—The new Fluke 374 and 375 clamp meters offer improved performance, perfect for many current measurement situations. With true-rms ac voltage and current measurements, the Fluke 374 and 375 can read up to 600 V and 600 A in both ac and dc modes and handle min/max, average and inrush recording. Both are compatible with the new iFlex flexible current probe (sold separately). US list price for the Fluke 375 is $299.95, for the Fluke 374, $259.95.

Fluke 373 True-rms AC Clamp Meter—The new Fluke 373 clamp meter offers improved performance and maximum value for users requiring ac only current measurement. US list price is $179.95.

iFlex i2500-18 and i2500-10 Flexible Current Probes—The new Fluke iFlex flexible current probes expand the measurement range of select Fluke meters to 2500 A ac. The large coil allows users to reach around large conductors; the small profile improves access in crowded spaces. Included with the Fluke 381 and Fluke 376 Clamp Meters; compatible with Fluke 375 and Fluke 374 Clamp Meters. (CAT IV 600V, CAT III 1000V) US list price either model $98.95.
