Unique Wave Allows Controlled Collapse

USA Tolerance (Pennington, NJ) Rings working in partnership with Ididit, located in Tecumseh, MI, has developed a unique collapse ring for steering columns to prevent drivers from being impaled during a front-end collision. Features of the collapse ring include:

The new collaspe rings feature a stack up tolerance of .020".

USA Tolerance (Pennington, NJ) Rings working in partnership with Ididit, located in Tecumseh, MI, has developed a unique collapse ring for steering columns to prevent drivers from being impaled during a front-end collision. Features of the collapse ring include:

  • Tube-n-tube collapse column.
  • Target axial collapse force of 550 LBS +/- 100 LBS.
  • Stack up tolerance of .020”. 
  • Chrome plated and powder coated options.
