Two Scrolls In One

Scroll compressors and vacuum pumps offer low noise and high durability. They are oil-free and have balanced rotary motion with no intake or discharge valves. The rubbing velocity is also low, resulting in long life. A new Scroll-in-Scroll concept has been developed to provide for two separate fluid displacement areas on one scroll set. The displacement of the outer and inner scrolls is independent and can be sized according to specific requirements. This concept has been used in devices such as dialysis machines, home oxygen concentrators, and refrigerant recovery.
