Turck And Newark Sign On The Dotted Line

Newark has announced that it has signed a U.S. franchise agreement with global sensing manufacturer, Turck. In addition to proximity sensors, Newark (http://www.newark.com) will now stock Turck cord sets, receptacles, connectors and junction boxes.

"With Newark's broad national customer base and multi-channel marketing approach, we are confident that this will be a mutually beneficial affiliation," says Teri Lindberg, Turck's distributor relations manager.

"We are pleased to initially offer Turck's most popular products to help our industrial customers improve their automated processes," says Newark President DeWight Wallace. "In the very near future, we intend to stock even broader ranges of Turck's quality networking, sensing and automation products."

Customers have the opportunity to do business with Newark through a choice of contact centers, a local branch network, a dedicated field sales force or the company’s website.

Turck products are available for same-day shipping at http://www.newark.com/turck.
Tektronix and Fluke's New Design And Manufacturing Test Kits Distributed Exclusively Through Newark
Newark has also introduced four exclusive Fluke/Tektronix test kits on its website in order to provide solutions for common design engineering and manufacturing applications.

"We appreciate that Newark is adding value to customers by bundling leading instruments and support for specific application needs," says Mike Rizzo, director of Americas marketing, Tektronix.

The Electronic Benchtop kit, for example, features two high-end instruments to aid in design and to measure operational parameters:
  • A Fluke 8845A benchtop digital multimeter.
  • A Tektronix DPO 4054 oscilloscope.
The manufacturing kits address power quality, air quality and general test issues. The kits are priced less than the cost of buying the test equipment individually, and each kit offers customized application notes on how to use the equipment most efficiently.

"We're pleased to be able to work with Newark and Tektronix to come up with unique product offerings that serve the needs of Newark's customers," says Ken Fairleigh, VP of sales for the Americas, Fluke.

Application notes and complete details about the kits can be found at www.newark.com/fluke or www.newark.com/tektronix.
