Touch-panel Computer

The TPC Series of all-in-one touch panel computers has grown to include the TPC-60S, a Windows CE-based 5.7-in. QVGA STN LCD display computer. Ideally suited to serve as an operator interface terminal (OIT) on the factory floor, the TPC-60S incorporates an ultra-slim, yet durable design. Features include a NEMA4/iP65-compliant front panel and a lightweight plastic molding housing. This housing is designed to provide high performance and enhanced heat dissipation. The TPC-60S relies on a low power, fanless ARM CPU, which runs at 266 MHz. With 64 MB flash memory soldered on board and a CompactFlash slot for extra storage, the unit is able to run Windows CE.NET 4.2 and supports thin-client solutions. For users who require wireless communication, the PCMCIA slot can be fitted with an optional wireless LAN card. The TPC-60S has rich I/O interface features, including three serial ports (one full RS-232, one four-pin RS-232, and one RS485), one Ethernet port (10/100Base-T), two USB ports (one for host and one for client), and an LED indicator for the LAN. Pairing the TPC-60S with thin-client software, such as Microsoft RDP, will help users reduce costs during field implementation. In addition, engineers can rely on the TPC-60S to provide decentralized interfaces to control local and external processes. The TPC-60S is suitable for system control interfaces in applications such as machine automation, intelligent transport systems (ITS), and food industries.
