Completely scalable in power, performance, and precision, the IndraDyn S Series of synchronous servo motors is available in a range of frame sizes and lengths and torque ratings from 0.1 to 240 Nm. To eliminate end turns and enhance copper content and to offer the greatest power output in the shortest possible motor design, the manufacturer individually winds each motor pole prior to stator assembly. Larger motor sizes are available with high- or low-inertia rotors for optimized inertia matching. For example, machine tools, printing machines, and robotic applications require a higher moment of inertia, while packaging machines and handling systems require a low moment of inertia for the highest possible acceleration. IndraDyn S motors are available in both basic and advanced versions. In standard applications, the basic version offers flange and rotational accuracy according to tolerance class N. This version includes Hiperface encoders, which deliver 128 increments per revolution 32 times more precision than the previous resolver-based motor generation. Designed for high-precision applications, the advanced version features a high-resolution EnDat encoder, which delivers 2,048 increments per revolution and flange and rotational accuracy within tolerance class R. Both feedback options are available in incremental (single-turn) or absolute (multi-turn) versions. In addition, feedback and power connectors can be rotated up to 240°. Engineers can choose to equip IntraDyn S motors with external blowers and a liquid-cooled version if they require maximum performance.
