Surface-mount Led Light Sources

The LuxLEDs family of surface-mount LEDs provides light output levels up to 24 cd, making the units the highest intensity single-LED surface-mount devices available, according to the manufacturer. They are suitable for use in backlights, automotive and aircraft interiors, industrial and medical equipment, or anywhere a surface-mountable, intense solid-state light source is required. LuxLEDs combine an LED die and a standard-style LED lens, with a lead frame package. This package allows reverse PC board mounting. LuxLEDs also include built-in heat management technology. Maximum power dissipation is as high as 420 mW, depending on model. To meet a broad range of applications, these devices are available with three different viewing angles: 10, 30, and 100 degrees. LuxLEDs are available in a wide variety of colors including red, green, yellow, blue, white, and RGB. Pricing varies depending on color chosen and quantity ordered, starting at $2 each in quantities of 1,000.
