Stratum 3 Timing Modules For Backhaul & Metro Access Applications

NDK (Nihon Dempa Kogyo Co., Ltd.) announces the availability of the NW36M25LA Stratum 3 compliant solution for the synchronous timing source required in SONET (Synchronous Optical networking) and SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) equipment. This four input device (reference input frequencies: 8 kHz, 1.54, 2.048, 12.96, 19.44, 38.88, 51.84, or 77.76 MHz) intuitively detects the input frequency and has an automatic or manual (via SPI Bus) reference selection. This four input device (reference input frequencies: 8 kHz, 1.54, 2.048, 12.96, 19.44, 38.88, 51.84, or 77.76 MHz) intuitively detects the input frequency and has an automatic or manual (via SPI Bus) reference selection. It features

  • Hit-less reference switching and complies with Telecordia GR-1244-CORE GR-253, and ITU-T G.812/G.813.
  • Free run mode as it latches onto the Stratum 3 TCXO, locked mode when it clamps onto one of the 4 input reference clocks, and holdover mode when it generates the last locked to reference output frequency.
  • Three output signals.
  • Supply voltage of 3.3 VDC while drawing a steady state current of 150 mA.
  • Holdover frequency accuracy (for the initial 24 hours) is ±0.37 ppm and a free-run accuracy (under all conditions for 10 years) is ±4.6ppm.
  • Measures L=36.83 x W=25.4 x H=5.42 mm and operates in a temperature range of -40 to +85ºC with other temperature ranges available.
