Stepper Motors With Integrated Drive

The MDrive line of high-torque stepping motors with onboard drive electronics has expanded with the addition of four sizes: the MDrive14, MDrive17, MDrive23, and MDrive34, each available in multiple configurations.

The MDrive14 is the smallest of the additions and has a NEMA size 14 stepping motor and half- and full-step drive electronics. The largest of the four, the MDrive34, comes with a NEMA size 34 motor and 24 to 75 V microstepping drive. It is also available in a motion control version that incorporates a full featured motion controller that eliminates the need for a central controller to run multiple axes.

The MDrive17 and MDrive23, with NEMA size 17 and 23 motors, respectively, are also offered with microstepping drives that have up to 14 resolution settings from 1/2 to 256 microsteps per step. Other versions include speed control and motion control with programmable indexer. Options for all the units include a linear actuator, encoder, planetary gearbox, and rear control knob for manual positioning.
