Steel Actuators (3967)

CR Series stainless steel actuators are offered in five different models that are designed for the demanding conditions of the food processing and handling, medical engineering, and chemical industries.

Two of the actuators reportedly conform to ISO 6431 and VDMA 24562 standards, and offer piston diameters from 32 to 100 mm and stroke lengths between 10 to 2,000 mm. These actuators offer adjustable end-position cushioning, interchangeability with standard actuators, and direct mounting via internally threaded end caps.

Two other models are described as slim-line actuators with a round-section barrel design for use in applications where space is limited and mounting flexibility is required. The stroke range for the 12- and 16-mm diameter units is 10 to 200 mm and the 20- and 25-mm diameter piston units can provide strokes of 10 to 320 mm and 10 to 50 mm, respectively.

One model is reportedly optimized for cost efficiency. This actuator is available with eight different piston diameters between 12 and 63 mm. The 12- and 16-mm piston sizes can deliver 10 to 200 mm strokes, while the 20- and 25-mm piston models can deliver 10 to 320 mm and 10 to 500 mm strokes, respectively. The 32-, 40-, 50-, and 63-mm piston models are intended to be capable of extremely short strokes, as well as a maximum stroke of 500 mm.

All the pneumatic components included in this series are designed for corrosion resistance and ease of cleaning. The acid and corrosion resistant pneumatic components are reportedly capable of withstanding the highly effective cleaning substances used in these applications where frequent rinsing of the equipment necessitates the use of stainless steel.
