Emerald EMC-2000 multi-axis motion controllers feature a smart Ethernet PMC card option that responds to XML commands for easy connection to Web browser applications.
Application programmers can specify the motion controller resources available to the XML portal, building a firewall against unauthorized Ethernet traffic. The card also enables programmers to run IIS' Emerald Development Environment software tools with Ethernet. Units also feature Ethernet 100/10 LAN and TCP/IP protocol.
