Slam-to-close Latch

Stylish, compact, and lightweight, the Beetle slam-to-close latch features a durable, brightly polished stainless steel handle that rests flush inside a white, black, or stainless steel covered plastic housing. The latch is made for doors from 3/8 to 7/8 in. thick and has a built-in grip feature that allows adjustment of the latch's pawl up to 0.25 in., ensuring a precise fit with the mating keeper. In this way, the latch accommodates installation, door, or panel variations. In addition, the spring-loaded pawl virtually eliminates rattles. Besides the non-locking version, a full-size keylock option is available and features a key code that can be matched to other Southco and Mobella latches, reducing the number of keys that need to be carried. The latch installs in a single round hole using two screws. It can serve in a variety of applications, including access panels, cabinet doors, and drawers. It also makes a suitable field drop-in replacement for other round latches.
