SKF® has announced its acquisition of ABBA Linear Tech Co., a pioneering Taiwanese manufacturer of profile rail guides. This provides SKF with expanded production capacity and the capability to deliver a wide range of low cost and high quality linear guidance products.

Profile rail guides enable precise positioning for factory automation, medical, assembly, machine tool, woodworking, electronics, semiconductor processing, and test and inspection equipment applications. The newly added production facility in Taipei, Taiwan, promotes the twin benefits of cost-effective manufacturing and optimized product quality.

All guides are characterized by smooth and accurate operation, high rigidity and speed, minimal noise, and low maintenance requirements. They can be specified in a variety of sizes, configurations, and lengths to meet particular requirements. Different carriage designs can accommodate various load and stiffness demands.
