Simulation And Optimization Software

3G.Design Simulation/Optimization Suite 2005 R1 features 3G.author, 3G.central, and 3G.access. These components offer engineers bi-directional support for XXen functional modeling CAD system and random vibration and base excitation simulation functionality within the dynamic response module. Enhanced shell modeling and analysis capabilities, transient thermal-stress coupling, Orthotropic material support, and flexible licensing options are also included. The software supports XXen CAD models by capturing full feature and dimension information of XXen-based parts and assemblies. The software’s dynamic response module supports random vibration in addition to single and multiple base excitation analyses. Random vibration analysis based on stationary type excitation allows users to define Power Spectral Density (PSD) inputs for loads, body forces, and base excitation. This analysis also computes PSD responses, Root Mean Square (RMS) values and contour plot of PSD, and RMS responses over the model. The software supports advanced shell creation capabilities for parts and assemblies via versatile edge-to-edge and edge-to-face contact detection and assignments. This allows users to create various types of shell models from a solid part or assembly and generate top and bottom stresses. Furthermore, thanks to the software’s enhanced thermal-stress coupling functionality, users can incorporate temperatures from various transient and steady state thermal studies into thermal-stress function studies. Users can also define orthotropic thermal and structural properties for a variety of analyses.
