Silicone Balloon Molding

A liquid injection molding (LIM) process for silicone balloon molding includes tissue expanders for laparoscopic applications.

A variety of molded inflation and occlusion balloons can be custom designed for medical device OEM applications. The company capabilities offer in-depth experience with silicone properties, balloon molding expertise, and material and design assistance. Balloon wall thicknesses range from 0.008-0.04 in., ensuring high elongation and good hysteresis characteristics. Complete testing includes inflation, elongation, burst, modulus, and pressure decay testing, and balloon prototyping services are also available.
